Danger was yet another victim of a hit and run, road traffic accident, just outside his house. Unfortunately, none of these small, rural homes have any perimeter walling or fencing to keep their animals confined and this problem is exacerbated by speeding commuter omnibus drivers who drive without any consideration for roaming animals. On the 26 May, we took him by ambulance to Kamfinsa Veterinary Surgery, where Dr Ant Donoghue operated and plated his shattered leg. When he was discharged from the surgery, he came home with us for confinement and rehabilitation 31 May to 7 June.
